Rihanna has made history as the first black female to be the face of Dior, the Hollywood Life reports.

Rihanna will be joining the likes of Jennifer Lawrence, Charlize Theron and Marion Cotillard, who have all previously been the face of the high fashion brand.

Fans can expect to see the "Four Five Seconds" singer in the fourth installment of Dior's "Secret Garden" campaign that is scheduled to launch in the spring.

AOL reports that the campaign traditionally features models "posing in the palace of Versailles, clad in Dior creations." Rihanna's Dior spread will be photographed by Steven Klein.

Rihanna's partnership with Dior is a natural move for the Bajan singer who is also known for her impeccable sense of style.

AOL reports that Rihanna was previously the face of a Balmain campaign and was named last year's Fashion Icon at the Council of Fashion Designers of America awards.

Noted designer Tom Ford commented on the singer's look while accepting his CFDA Lifetime Achievement award.

"I have to say that Rihanna was for me, that night, one of the most beautiful women that I have ever beheld," Ford said.

"As [my husband] Richard said plainly after the evening, 'If you are as beautiful as Rihanna, you almost owe it to the world to appear in public almost nude,' and I have to say that I wholeheartedly concur."

In addition to making a name for herself in the fashion world, Rihanna is also venturing off into acting with her latest animated film, "Home," where she lends her voice to the main character, Tip.

"Home" also features the voices of Jennifer Lopez, who plays Tip's mother, and Steve Martin as the leader of the Boov.

The upcoming DreamWorks film is based on Adam Rex's novel "The True Meaning of Smekday."

In both the movie and the novel, an alien race named Boov, led by Captain Smek, takes over Earth to hide from the enemies in Space and attempt to make Earth their new home.

"Home" is directed by Tim Johnson and co-written by Matt Ember and Tom J. Astle. The movie is set to hit theaters on March 27.
