Kendrick Lamar's eagerly awaited sophomore studio album "To Pimp a Butterfly" was accidentally released ahead of its March 23 release.

Both clean and explicit versions of the Compton emcee's latest project appeared on iTunes early Monday morning, although they have since been removed and now appear as a pre-order, with only first single "The Blacker the Berry" being available for download.

Top Dawg Entertainment CEO Anthony Tiffith took to his Twitter account to express his frustration.

"I WOULD LIKE 2 PERSONALLY THANK @Interscope FOR F***ING UP OUR RELEASE... SOMEBODY GOTS 2 PAY 4 THIS MISTAKE !!!! #TOP," he said.

"this is the kraziest s**t ever," he continued.

His third tweet showed he was still upset but trying to move past it for the time being.

The follow-up to 2012's "good kid, m.A.A.d city" opens with "Wesley's Theory" featuring George Clinton and Thundercat and includes various collaborations from Bilal, Anna Wise, Snoop Dogg, James Fauntleroy, Ronald Isley and Rapsody.

K. Dot's new 16-track album also features already heard tracks, "The Blacker the Berry" and "King Kunta."
