St. Patrick's Day arrives Tuesday all over the world.

In Philadelphia, there are plenty of ways to celebrate the Irish holiday.

Here are some of the places to go and the things to do on St. Patrick's Day in Philadelphia.

Head over to one of the three Philadelphia-area Shake Shacks and enjoy "When Irish Fries Are Smiling." These french fries are crinkle-cut and topped with horseradish cream, scallions and crispy all-natural applewood-smoked bacon. The fries are available for $4.50. After enjoying the fries, grab some Mast Brothers chocolate mint frozen custard ($3.50 for a single, $4.50 for a double). The irish fries end Tuesday, but the custard will be available until March 22.

Celebrate St. Patrick's Day at Bridget Foy's (200 South St.). Guinness Beef Stew and Corned Beef and Cabbage will be served all day. For drinks, Irish whiskey flights will be available along with $5 Two Gingers Whisky drinks.

Fado Irish Pub (1500 Locust Street) brings all day and all night entertainment. Door have been open since 8 a.m. Tuesday morning. There is a $5 cover charge starting at 3 p.m., but that includes live music throughout the day and it will not end until "late."

McGillin's Olde Ale House (1310 Drury St.) has been around since 1860. They opened at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Specials on food and drinks will be featured all day, as well as music.

Taproom on 19th (2400 S. 19th Street) is celebrating taco Tuesday and St. Patrick's Day at the same time. Corned beef, cabbage and cheese tacos will all be offered, among other items. $5 Irish Car Bombs and $5 Irish Brews will satisfy your thirst.

Instead of heading out to a bar, the St. Patrick's Day Memorial will offer Irish music and dance and more. The memorial is located at 100 S. Front Street.
