One Direction Tours, Songs & News Update 2015: Liam Payne Admits Once Kissing Zayn Malik on a Dare
Liam Payne recently admitted that he once kissed one of his One Direction bandmates.
In a recent interview with We Love Pop magazine via the Mirror, Payne recalled the time he and Zayn Malik, who is engaged to Perrie Edwards, locked lips, explaining that it started out as a dare and was nothing more than a joke between pals.
"I ended up kissing Zayn once! Zayne was like, 'Come on then, come on,' putting his head close to me," he said. "It was like when you're going to have a fight. Then he just leaned forward and kissed me."
When asked which of the 1D members he would choose to make out with, Harry Styles could not give an answer. "I can't answer that. I genuinely can't," he said.
Louis Tomlinson, on the other hand, was not as fussy as the rest of the "Steal My Girl" singers, adding: "I'd probably snog all the guys, to be honest."
Meanwhile, 50 Cent told The Sun he would gladly sign Malik to his label. 50 Cent recognizes that Malik could sell records because of who he is, even if he decides to go into rap music. 50 Cent adds that having Malik on his label will help make the One Direction member "credible," and he would even mentor him.
There might even be a great opportunity for 50 Cent.
"I have always wanted to work with Simon [Cowell], so this could be a joint venture," the G-Unit boss added. "There is no doubt the members of One Direction are going to launch solo careers, and sometimes the bravest go on to be the biggest. Look at Justin Timberlake."
Zayn Malik is also working with Naughty Boy on a project. The hip-hop producer said the "Midnight Memories" hitmaker could be the first one from One Direction to launch a solo career.
"We're making music and having fun. This is just like a side gig and I don't think there's anything wrong with it," he told The Sun via Digital Spy. "It's a good time for Zayn to showcase what he can really do. I don't think that is being fully exploited with the band because there are five people and it needs to be balanced out."
