Khloe Kardashian appears to be crying out for estranged husband Lamar Odom.

In a recent Instagram post, the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star posted a quote attributed to R.M. Drake that said, "maybe we feel empty because we leave pieces of ourselves in everything we used to love."

HollywoodLife.com adds Kardashian, 30, and Odom are back on speaking terms and behind the scenes may even be working getting back together. The two split over a year ago amid rumors of Odom's rampant drug use and infidelity.

"Khloe doesn't want her family or the public knowing that she's trying to work things out with Lamar," a source told the website.

Since splitting with Odom, Kardashian has been romantically linked to bad boy rapper French Montana, but her former NBA star husband doesn't seem too threatened by their reported relationship.

"Lamar loves that Khloe spends all of her time with French," the source added, according to HollywoodLife.com. "He's not mad. The more time she spends with him, the better. Lamar thinks that the more she's around French, the quicker she will realize that he's a tool and not someone who she could ever take seriously."

The source later added: "Lamar thinks French is a leech. Lamar has never for a minute been threatened or intimidated by this dude."

Odom, 35, played 14 NBA seasons, winning two titles playing under Phil Jackson and alongside Kobe Bryant in Los Angeles. In 2011, he won the league's Sixth Man of the Year Award, averaging 14 points, nine rebounds and three assists.

Odom briefly attempted a comeback with the Knicks last summer after Jackson was named the franchise's president of basketball operations, but he and the team parted ways before training camp.
