Paul Walker Autopsy Results: Actor Died of Burns and Trauma
The news of Paul Walker's death has shocked the world over, with many fans wondering what caused the actor's death. However, yesterday, the Los Angeles County Coroner's Department has finally revealed the autopsy results of the actor's body. According to the autopsy results, Walker's death was cuased by "combined effects of traumatic and thermal injuries," Yahoo OMG! reports.
The Autopsy Report Details
The autopsy report stated that both 40-year-old Paul Walker and 38-year-old Rodas died just within seconds of the tragic incident, in what was defined as "auto versus fixed object." Rodas, who was driving the Porsche GT, suffered from multiple traumatic injuries, while the actor who served as the passenger suffered from mixed trauma and severe burns.
Nine MSN wrote that the findings emerged with the help of a new CCTV footage that captured some scenes near the location of the crash. The recorded video revealed that the car did not burn upon impact and instead still took a minute before it got engulfed in flames.
Fast & Furious 7 Temporarily Stopped
The MSN report also noted that a recent statement from the Universal Pictures studio revealed that all of them are focusing on rendering support to Paul Walker's family and other loved ones along with the cast and crew of the movie. This means that the latest installment of the popular movie is put on hold.
The director of the movie, James Wan, also expressed his own grief for the shocking death of Paul Walker that spread like wildfire over the Net. "I am so beyond heartbroken right now. I can't process anything," the Fast & Furious 6 director wrote on his Twitter account.
The Hollywood Reporter also noted that several other co-stars of Walker also shared the grief. One of Paul's co-stars posted a video via Instagram that showed Paul Walker celebrating his 40th birthday, while Universal Pictures also released a video tribute that showed scenes from the movie franchise with Skylar Grey's I'm Coming Home in the background.
In the meantime, NZ Herald reported that further results of the toxicology tests are still to come out after 6 to 8 weeks.
