Spotify Most Streamed Artists Of 2013: Eminem, Jay-Z, Drake Top List
Spotify recently rounds up the digital music service app's most popular artists, albums and individual tracks of 2013 - expectedly including this year's hottest, chart-topping rappers Eminem, Jay Z and Drake.
The "Thrift Shop" hitmakers Macklemore and Ryan Lewis have been named the app's most-streamed performers worldwide this year. The duo's debut album "The Heist," as well as their hit single "Can't Hold Us" makes the top ten lists of both most-streamed tracks and albums.
The electronic dance music DJs Avicii and Calvin Harris are also among this year's top ten list of most popular artists, with their tracks "Wake Me Up" and "I Need Your Love," respectively.
Surprisingly, Miley Cyrus, who has made numerous headlines, failed to make it to neither top ten tracks nor albums list.
Overall, Spotify's 24 million worldwide users streamed 4.5 billion hours of music in 2013.
