Iyanla Vanzant Is Surprised About How 'Protective and Forgiving' Karrueche Tran is of Chris Brown
In a recent interview with Sister 2 Sister, motivational speaker Iyanla Vanzant opened up about her experience interviewing Karrueche Tran in the upcoming episode of "Iyanla: Fix My Life."
Eurweb reports Vanzant interviewed Tran following her breakup with Chris Brown.
Tran recently broke up with Brown after discovering he had cheated on her and fathered a baby with video model Nia Guzmen Amey.
After interviewing Tran, Vanzant discovered how "protective and forgiving" Tran is of Brown.
"The thing that was so surprising to me is how protective and forgiving she is of Chris," Vanzant told Sister 2 Sister. "She repeatedly offered that he is only human and humans make mistakes."
Vanzant added, "She said she knows he loves her and she just wishes things could change for him. I think I am a bit more troubled by his behavior than she is."
When asked to discuss her feelings toward Brown's behavior, Vanzant expressed concern because of Brown not taking responsibility for his action. She was also worried about Karrueche for being naive.
"Prison was punishment and punitive," Vanzant explained. "It did not teach responsibility or accountability for his behavior or as the steward of a gift. Anyway, she made no attempt to bash him and will probably come across as naive and relatable."
TMZ previously reported that Tran allegedly kicked Vanzant out of her home during the taped interview for passing judgement on her tumultuous relationship with Brown.
TMZ claims that Vanzant and OWN producers promised Karrueche a positive interview.
However, tension rose when Vanzant questioned Tran's claims that she waited to have sex with Brown upon meeting him.
Vanzant also questioned Tran's decision to date the R&B singer after he made headlines for assaulting his then-girlfriend, Rihanna.
Tran allegedly became so upset that she and her manager kicked Vanzant out of her house, says TMZ.
After a few hours, OWN and Vanzant were invited back into Tran's home to resume the interview.
