Saturday’s Powerball is here, and potential participants in the multi-state lotto will get a chance at winning $40 million, with an estimated $26 million cash value.

Last Wednesday’s winning numbers were 7, 9, 23, 50, 54, and 14.

There were 360,384 winners and $5,303,781 non-jackpot prizes won.

As reported by Asbury Press someone won the $40 million Powerball prize and has yet to claim it.

The winning ticket was sold at Rocklins Stationers in Teaneck, and the Lottery has not been contacted by the sole winner.

Carole Hedinger, New Jersey Lottery executive director, advises that the newest multimillionaire first confer with legal and financial advisers prior to actually claiming the prize.

The Powerball winner will receive $26.9 million before taxes if he or she opted for a lump-sum payment.

Hedinger said, "[This] is an amazing win for New Jersey, the lucky ticket holders and the retailers.

"The revenue that was generated by the Powerball lottery sales preceding this win will help support vital programs and institutions that serve our residents."

As reported in NJ.com half of the 20 most frequent New Jersey Lottery prizewinners since 2009 have reportedly been either licensed lottery retailers or the family members of store operators.

As it turns out, lottery merchants and their relatives account for five of the New Jersey Lottery's six most frequent prizewinners since 2009.

There is 1 in 175,223,510 in winning the grand prize, and there is a 1 in 5,153,632.65 in getting the $1,000,000 award.

But you could always just play it cheap and safe, as the chances of doubling a $2 ticket are 1 in 55.41.

The Powerball jackpot will be reset to $40 million for the next drawing which will be held on March 28.
