Ludacris & Eudoxie Mbouguiengue Relationship, Engagement News: Rapper Opens Up About Going 'Above and Beyond' for Engagement
Ludacris went on the "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" to discuss his new album, the recently released "Fast and Furious 7" and, most importantly, his new wife.
DeGeneres welcomed Ludacris to the show and told him how happy she was to see he was coming out with a new album after not not having released one for quite a while.
"Sometimes you gotta take a little time off, after seven consecutive albums, you have to go get inspired, live some life so you can have more to talk about, reinvent yourself, and that is exactly what this album is about," Ludacris said.
Ludacris then pointed to his new album "Ludaversal." The cover art came from a picture he brought to "The Ellen Show" last time.
The album covert art for "Ludaversal" is a picture that Ellen loved of Ludacris' old car and his private plane.
"I love that because you have your own plane but you still drive your same car that you've had forever," Ellen said.
Ellen then asked about Ludacris' proposal to his now-wife Eudoxie Mbouguiengue.
"I look at myself as a pretty romantic guy," Ludacris told Ellen. "I'm a creative guy. You gotta be creative, you gotta be different. And these things stick with women for the rest of their lives so I had to go above and beyond."
Ludacris explained that he took Mbouguiengue on his plane on a trip to Costa Rica for a Christmas vacation.
"I had written in the grass her name and 'will you marry me?'" he told the talk show host.
"So once she saw it and we looped around, of course she burst out into tears and was just extremely happy. So it was a pretty original idea," he added.
Ludacris and Mbouguiengue married just a few weeks after the proposal. Last month, the couple announced that they are expecting their first child together.
