Devious Maids,” the Marc Cherry- and Eva Longoria-produced Lifetime series about four Latinas working in the homes of Beverly Hills’ wealthiest and most powerful families while dealing with murderous secrets, is approaching its third season.

The show will air every Monday night, starting on June 1 at 9 p.m. ET.

This season starts up after last year’s deadly wedding day drama, when a crazed gunman took aim at the maids during Rosie (Dania Ramirez) and Spence’s (Grant Show) special day.

After all the madness the maids come to rely upon on each other more than ever.

As detailed in Spoilers Guide, Zoila (Judy Reyes) tries to figure out her future once she has realized that she is with child, and is not sure who the father might be.

Carmen (Roselyn Sánchez) discovers some hitherto hidden depth to Sebastien (Gilles Marini),
and Marisol (Ana Ortiz) gets a career change.

For Ana Ortiz, who previously worked on the ABC hit "Ugly Betty," the show's integrity came to her as a pleasant surprise.

“My first reaction when I heard about the show… I only heard the title, so I think I reacted the same as everybody else. I rolled my eyes, I sucked my teeth, I was like 'really.' I had that reaction, so I understood why people reacted that way,” said Ortiz in a Huffington Post interview.

“The difference is that when I read the script and I found out about the other actors who were interested, I knew we had something really special. And I really wanted to be part of it,” she said.

Ortiz talks about the duty she and her fellow cast members feel as Latinos in the first show with an all-female set of Latina leads, saying, “It’s a great honor to play them and with that comes a big responsibility.”
