In the new episode of "Forever," Abe Morgan (Judd Hirsch) finally gets a lead on the potential whereabouts of his mom, Abigail, but elects not to share the news with dad Henry (Ioan Gruffudd) for fear he may "sink into one of these manic fits of despair."

Earlier this season, Abigail also appeared to be battling with her emotions, as she grappled with the thought of growing older. Spoilers Guide describes her trials and tribulations as the "first piece of a mythology arc that the series creator Matt Miller promises will enable Henry, to find out what actually happened to Abigail."

Entitled "Best Foot Forward," Episode 20 of Season 1 also finds Det. Jo Martinez (Alana de la Garza) and Dr. Morgan seemingly growing closer and closer.

"Forever" also stars Joel David Moore as Lucas Wahl, Donnie Keshawarz as Det. Hanson and Lorraine Toussaint as Lt. Joanna Reece.

Based on the life and times of New York City medical examiner Dr. Henry Morgan, "Forever" chronicles the doctor's study of the dead for the purposes of solving the riddle of his own immortality.

While working as doctor during the time of the slave trade, Morgan initially died some two centuries ago, but has since come back to life. His prolonged existence has given him added insights and keen observational skills, which he uses in aiding the NYPD solve countless cases.

Only one person, "Adam," seems to know of Dr. Morgan's plight, with the villainous character relentlessly stalking him and claiming to suffer from the same curse.

"Forever" premiered on ABC during the 2014-15 fall TV season. In November of that same year, ABC ordered a full season of episodes.
