Just when fans thought that the mystery teaser video unveiled last week was the Samsung Galaxy S5, it turned out to be the Samsung Galaxy J instead.

Know Your Mobile reports that the Korean tech company was the one who posted the mystery teaser video of what is now considered as an official handset. It was particularly uploaded on the YouTube page of Samsung Taiwan.

Samsung Galaxy J Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy J is described as a combination of the S4 and the Galaxy Note but made more of minimalistic design. It has the Super AMOLED screen at 5 inches with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. It also has the 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU and a 3GB RAM. Its storage reaches up to 32GB with a rear camera with 13M spec and the front at 1.9MP.

It runs with Android 4.3 along with a 4G LTE connectivity feature. There is still no confirmed news yet for its release date but many are suspecting it could be exclusively offered within Taiwan for now. Its price off-contract is suspected to be around 21,900 Taiwanese Dollars.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Specs

Tech Radar wrote that interesting Samsung Galaxy S5 specs came out from a benchmark test done last week. It also has the Adreno 330 GPU with the Android 4.4 KitKat. Added speculated features include the 5.25 inch screen with a 560ppi pixel density.

Many are also speculating that the Korean tech company is planning to release about 4 or 5 new phones to be released by early next year.

The Galaxy J is announced officially as a metal kind of smartphone, proving the true the much talked about rumors that the company will leave their Hyperglaze plastic legacy, according to Mobile Syrup. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S5 may possibly be announced next year, around March or April.
