Elder Scrolls 6 Release Date News: What Continent Will the Game's Action Take Place In?
The location of Elder Scrolls 6 has been in question since the game was announced. Gamers have thought the next land that Elder Scrolls developers would take the game to would be Argonia, MoviePilot reports.
But Akavir is another possible location. This continent has not been discovered in the Elder Scrolls series. The violent Akavir is off the eastern coast of Tamriel, about 4,000 kilometers away.
There have many stories on the lands of Akavir, but few have dared to go to the land. Akavir translates to "Dragon Land."
The natives of Akavir are diverse. There are four different unrelated races that live on Akavir, called Akaviri. They include the Snow Demons of Kamal, the Serpent-Men of Tsaesci, the Monkey People of Tang Mo and the Tiger Dragons of Ka'Po'Tun.
Tamriel inhabitants have always feared Akavir. The continent itself is scary to those in Tamriel, but so is the body of water that separates the two places.
The people of Tsaesci are one of Akavir's most infamous races. They have launched attacks on Tamriel in the past and many believe that they are largely responsible for wiping out the humans who once lived on Akavir. The humans were said to have been attacked repeatedly and eventually eaten into their extinction.
The last contact with Akavir was attempted by the Nerevarine. Nerevarine made a trip to Akavir after defeating Dagoth Ur. It is unknown how the trip turned out for the Nerevarine.
Tamriel has had a rough past with Akavir. The continent of Akavir has kept the balance of peace and war in check over the past centuries.
Players of Elder Scroll 6 would be challenged if the setting for the game is indeed Akavir. Since some creatures were lost in the last game's setting of Skyrim, heading to a continent with dragons and brutal violence could make the game very difficult.
Elder Scrolls 6 will be released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One June 6.
Where do you think the setting of the game should be? Leave your thoughts below.
