ABC Family 'Pretty Litlle Liars' Season 6 Spoilers: Show Producer Says Not to 'Bet' That Charles Is Jason's Fraternal Twin
“Pretty Little Liars,” The ABC Family teen mystery-thriller about young people falling under anonymous manipulation, has always really been about stringing out the secrets.
In the season finale, it was revealed that the character of A, the main antagonist, is really a guy named Charles.
And although Season 6, which starts in the summer, is all geared up to tell us more about A and everyone affected by the bully, we are already getting some big time clues.
In the finale, Spencer (Troian Bellisario) scoped out some telling items inside of A’s vault, including a crib, photos, a teddy bear, and even home videos of the dude as a kid mingling with the DiLaurentis clan.
The main speculation is that Charles was Jason’s (Drew Van Acker) fraternal twin.
TVLine asked Oliver Goldstick, one of the writers and producers of the the show, about the chances of that being true, and he pretty much told fans to be patience, saying: “It’s a fair assumption, but don’t go to Vegas and bet on that. I would hold out, because answers are going to come."
Elaborating, the creator of the short lived medical drama “Inconceivable,” said: “We’re looking at Season 6A as a compressed season; not only are we doing less episodes — we’re doing 10, whereas we usually 12 or 13 — but it takes place over three weeks. In those three weeks, the girls are dealing with the fallout from the bunker trauma. They’ll be pursuing and receiving real answers, as will the audience.”
Joseph Dougherty, an executive producer on the show, talked to MTV News about the character of A, saying: “This person is not a stranger to Rosewood in any way, shape or form,” adding that, “I think it’s safe to say that, like the Liars themselves, this person’s history in Rosewood goes back before the beginning in the series.”
