"Bad Girls Club" star Linsey Berardi died at the age of 22.

The cause of her death is unknown, but on Friday, April 3, Oxygen Media released a statement confirming Berardi's passing.

"We are deeply saddened by the loss of Linsey 'Jade' Berardi, who appeared in Bad Girls Club Season 12," Oxygen Media said. "Our deepest sympathy and heartfelt thoughts go out to her family, friends and fans."

The statement also requested that "BGC" fans donate to animal shelters in honor of Berardi.

"Linsey was a lifetime animal lover and passionate advocate," Oxygen Media's statement concluded.

Though no details regarding Berardi's passing have been released, Us Weekly notes that Berardi's "BGC" co-star, Jada Cacchilli may have disclosed some information regarding Berardi's death on Twitter.

Shortly after posting a sad tweet and Instagram post about Berardi's death, Cacchilli posted another tweet about the dangerous effects of drugs leading some to believe that it may have been the cause of Berardi's passing.

In addition to Cacchilli's tweets, another "BGC" cast member, Loren "Lo" London sent out her condolences via Twitter.

The New York Daily News reports that Berardi was nicknamed "Brooklyn Brat" when she appeared on "BGC." She quickly left the show after appearing in one episode.

Prior to her death, Berardi posted a cryptic Facebook message about her health, which has since been deleted, the New York Daily News adds.

"Hey guys. Just letting anyone know I'm going away due to health problems tomorrow morning for some time," she wrote. "So if I'm not responding to texts, I'm not ignoring u, I'll see them when I get home!"
