It has been a week after WWE's "WrestleMania 31," but the road to "Extreme Rules" rolls on with new WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins trying to look confident against Randy Orton.

It has yet to be confirmed that Rollins will defend his championship against Orton at "Extreme Rules," but it will most likely be set in stone tonight. Tonight during "Raw," expect subtle hints for their "Extreme Rules" match. If Rollins continues to make his escape from Orton, a steel cage match is a possibility or a classic hardcore match in honor of the pay-per-view name.

After losing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and leaving a trail of carnage and bodies in their wake last week, do not expect Brock Lesnar or Paul Heyman to appear tonight. We will see commentary return, especially after the poor performance by Byron Saxton last week. Stephanie McMahon will still keep Lesnar's spirit alive as she could issue a punishment for the former world champion delivering an F-5 on Michael Cole, an unnamed cameraman and flipping the commentary table onto the announce team.

The Intercontinental Championship title scene appears to intensify following the return of Sheamus. With a new theme song and a new look, Sheamus will accrue a win as he continues to feud with Daniel Bryan. Bad News Barrett is still in the picture since he will soon announce when he will implement his rematch clause. Dolph Ziggler will surely look to avenge himself since Sheamus attacked him last Monday.

Tonight will be the first "Raw" since AJ Lee announced her retirement from wrestling in the WWE. The three-time Divas Champion, two-time Diva of the Year and former "Raw" General Manager left the company per an announcement by WWE last Friday. With Lee out of the picture, the WWE Universe could soon see a main-roster debut of an NXT diva. Until then, the Bella Twins, Natalya, Naomi and Paige will resume their series of match-ups. Naomi has also started a winning streak during the last week, including a win on "SmackDown."

John Cena said he will issue a weekly open challenge for his United States Championship. Tonight will be the first night if he keeps his word, while ex-champ Rusev continues to lurk in the background aiming for his title again.

Dean Ambrose remains to be a mysterious factor. He suffered a loss against Cena last week, failed to win the Intercontinental Championship and was sent crashing through a table by Luke Harper. Ambrose could seek revenge against Harper or reinsert himself in a match against Cena while the WWE continues to figure out how to properly book him.

Regarding booking, Roman Reigns' role for "Extreme Rules" is unknown since Rollins vs. Orton will likely be announced. Tonight we should see if the 2015 Royal Rumble winner continues his hunt against new world champion Rollins and if the odds of a triple threat match on April 26 happening with Reigns included in the mix will improve.

Last Monday saw the official debut of Kalisto and Neville. Tonight, we should see how the WWE books the two in their respective matches following the positive reception given to both WWE Superstars last week.

"Monday Night Raw" airs at 8 p.m. EST on the USA Network.
