'Star Wars Episode 7' Rumors, Spoilers & Cast: New Trailer Details Unveiled?
The next "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens" trailer is set to be showcased ahead of the upcoming "Avengers: Age of Ultron," but there are already rumors about what the content will comprise.
According to Making Star Wars, the trailer is close to two minutes and will feature Han Solo, Leia, R2-D2 and C-3PO. Other major touchstones of the trailer will include images of Yavin, Kylo Ren's mask, Finn with a lightsaber (supposedly a blue one), the Millennium Falcon and Poe Dameron shooting down a TIE Fighter.
Most importantly, fans will see a shot of Darth Vader's helmet sitting on a podium. Why? We do not know.
But the excitement certainly permeates from the notion of seeing the main hero of the first six films make his return, albeit without his full body. There are a lot of rumors that Vader will appear alive at some point in the film and some even point to a flashback as the means to showcase him.
Whatever the case might be, having Vader shown in some form at some point in the film is the best bit of fan service that J.J. Abrams and company could have conjured up.
Now for the "supposed" disappointments. Luke Skywalker's role in the film has remained rather nebulous and the new rumor indicates that the trailer will not shed any new light on his whereabouts or role in the film. Why? Because Luke is not expected to make a single appearance in the new trailer. It is clear that the marketing team is certainly using this anticipation to suspenseful effect.
Who else will be missing from the trailer? Andy Serkis' character, which is rumored to be a dark Lord who trains Kylo Ren.
There was another rumor for what the trailer would look like from Latino Review. That one did have Luke making a final appearance near the end.
Eventually fans will find out which source is right (if any).
"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" opens on Dec. 18, 2015.
