The Golden Globes 2014 Date & Host: Zoe Saldana, Olivia Wilde and Aziz Ansari Annouce Nominations for Awards Show
The 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards are fast approaching and we cannot wait. The show will air on Sunday, Jan. 12 on NBC. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler bring the heat back for another year, getting celebrities pretty nervous about being picked on. Be prepared for a night of fashion, fun and awkward speeches as the Golden Globes hit a TV near you.
The nomination announcers have been revealed and fans are very excited to see their favorite stars on stage. Zoe Saldana, Olivia Wilde and Aziz Ansari will be on up early on Thursday morning to give the public the list of nominees at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Sosie Bacon, the 21-year old daughter of Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick, has been crowned Miss Golden Globes 2014. The announcements will air live on The Today Show on NBC at 8:38 a.m. EST and stream live on GoldenGlobes.com.
The Golden Globes mark the beginning of the year being the very first award show of the New Year. This is the first time we get to see the stars right after holiday dinners and parties, so it's very fun to see how everybody looks. It's also the time to show their knowledge of the New Year fashions. It can be hit or miss for many actors who did not keep up with 2014 styles. We also get to see who wins awards for our favorite movies and what their speeches will sound like. Haven't speeches just become the highlight of the night? Stars have the most awkward ways of saying thank you, and we enjoy every minute of it. Receiving an award from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association has launched many careers; so this is an award actors really want.
Be sure to tune in to what is known as Hollywood's best party and the first unmissable event of the year. The Golden Globes air Jan. 12, will you be watching?
