Apple has added 300 new emojis to its latest operating system update, iOS 8.3.

There are now more skin tones for almost all of the human emojis, according to Time.

The racially diverse emojis are presented in almost all of the human emojis, even the active ones like the biker and the swimmer.

Each human emoji has the capability of having its skin tone changed. For example, long tap on the police officer emoji and choose from six different skin tones. The same is true of the emoji wearing a turban, which formerly featured a darker-skinned character. Even the Santa Claus emoji will have colour options. The thumbs-up and other finger emojis can also be altered for skin tone with the same long tap process. The default is yellow.

The various smile faces will continue to be yellow. That means the cat that laughs so hard his eyes water will still be yellow.

Canadians finally got their wish, with their flag being represented. Still largely missing from the flag emojis are Latin American flags, the only countries represented being Colombia, Chile and Mexico. Emojis for populous countries, such as Argentina, Guatemala, Nicaragua, are still missing.

By comparison, the flags of Europe are very well represented. France, Spain, Ireland, Norway, Russia, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy, Poland and the United Kingdom and more have flags for their countries as emojis.

Of course, there are still other emojis people wish to be represented. Many have taken to Twitter to vent their frustrations.

"Why isn't there a giraffe emoji!?" one user said.

"Not so fun fact: there is no #butterfly emoji! #neednotwant," another user complained.

Some people felt that the emojis that were included could have been replaced with other ones that they deemed far more necessary. For example, some were upset that there were no rehead emojis.

And one wanted her sports team represented.

"Really #Apple? Not to add fuel to a brush fire, but a bloody syringe emoji and not something for Hockey?! #Fail Go @LAKings go! Jeez," the user wrote.

As for those who have not updated their systems, they will see alien emojis, The Verge reports.
