Zendaya 'Patchouli Oil Controversy: Did Kelly Osbourne Call Giuliana Rancic a Liar?
In a recent interview with "Today," "Fashion Police" co-host Giuliana Rancic named editing as the reason for her controversial "patchouli oil or weed" comment about Zendaya Coleman's faux locs on the Oscar's red carpet.
She explained that the controversial joke was written for her as a reference to hippie culture. But because of "Fashion Police" editing, Rancic's joke was taken out of context.
"I made a reference to the hippie culture. I talked about patchouli oil, which is a hippie perfume. And in the editing process, some of the gestures I made, some of the things I said were taken out for time," she explained.
Following her interview, former "Fashion Police" co-host Kelly Osbourne tweeted a message that Us Weekly reports is about Rancic.
Osbourne supposedly suggested that Ranic is a liar and not telling the truth about her "Fashion Police" joke.
"The tweet is definitely about Giuliana. They're totally feuding," said an Us Weekly source.
Despite Us Weekly's claims, Rancic insists that Osbourne's tweet is not about her.
While speaking with Extra, Rancic said that she is telling the truth.
"Someone called me and told me about [the tweet], and I'm like, 'Did she say my name? Because there's no way that can be about me because I'm telling the truth,'" Rancic said.
Entertainment Tonight reports that Osbourne and Kathy Griffin, who both left "Fashion Police," do not get along with Rancic.
Rancic later addressed her strained relationship with her former co-hosts while speaking to HuffPost Live.
She revealed that she, Osbourne and Griffin no longer speak.
"I haven't talked to [Kelly or Kathy Griffin] since the incident," she said. "There's nothing good that can come of trying to speak for them, [or guess] what they meant by their comments."
ET also suggests that Rancic will not be returning to "Fashion Police," which is scheduled to air again in September.
