Mega Millions Numbers & Results April 10, 2015: Live Stream of Drawing Time; $39M Jackpot
The Mega Millions jackpot is slowly starting to pick up steam again, so if you've got a feeling that today is your lucky day, you might want to pick up a ticket some time before 10:45 p.m. Eastern Time. When the magic numbers are drawn at the studios of WSB-TV, Atlanta's ABC affiliate, tonight, you stand to win a whopping $39 million.
Whoever hits the jackpot will "only" take home about $25 million, though, if he or she opts -- as most do -- for an immediate lump-sum payout. Otherwise, the total prize is handed over in annual installments during a 29-year period.
Before you agonize over that decision, you might want to remind yourself that your chances of getting the six numbers right in the first place are about 1 in 259 million. The odds of winning any Mega Millions prize, however, are much better at about 1 in 15.
The lottery's winning numbers from the last drawing on April 7 were 5, 15, 22, 26 and 64; the Mega Ball number was 6; and the "Megaplier" was 4, according to the game's official website. The estimated jackpot had been $30 million, but no one matched the winning Mega Millions numbers on that day, MLive noted
The highest payouts, thus, was a $1 million win for a player in Florida who matched five numbers - but not the Gold Mega Ball, the website added.
Mega Millions drawings take place every Tuesday and Friday at WSB-TV. Five balls are drawn from a set numbered 1 through 75; the Mega Ball, meanwhile, is drawn from a set numbered 1 through 15.
Tickets to the game are sold in 43 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands -- a total of 45 jurisdictions. The lottery's largest-ever jackpot was a $656 million annuity value in the March 30, 2012, drawing, which yielded three jackpot-winning tickets.
You can watch a live stream of the lottery drawings at 11 p.m. Eastern Time below.
