Kelly Clarkson's "Cautionary Christmas Music Tale" was NBC's highlighted live special last night. Newlywed and mommy-to-be Kelly Clarkson says that it has always been a dream of hers to be part of a Christmas special. Well, she actually got to host her own.

Kelly Clarkson looked beautiful in each red dress she changed into during her Christmas special on NBC. The red dresses were a representation of the theme of her Christmas album "Wrapped in Red." Kelly, who is having a pretty difficult pregnancy, says that the dresses were a little "tight" but nonetheless beautiful.

Clarkson, who recently married Brandon Blackstock and is now building a new family, says she has been throwing up constantly because of the pregnancy. Well, congratulations to her because she made it through the entire night hitting all the high notes in her Christmas jingles from "Wrapped in Red". Clarkson was joined on stage by mother in law Reba McEntire (Brandon's mom), Blake Shelton and her good friend Tricia Yearwood. Other guest stars were Whoopi Goldberg, Robin Williams, Heidi Klum, Danica Patrick, Jay Leno and Matt Lauer.

Even with Clarkson's flawless singing and special guests the critics were still harsh. People today are saying that the show was "boring" and that the "Cautionary Christmas" title stood for "stay away." Apparently, viewers wanted to see Blake Shelton sing more instead of just "help out". Even though people love Blake Shelton's humorous antics they felt that he could of performed to make the show livelier.

Other criticism included how awkward the homeless shelter scene was with former Queer Eye for the Straight Guy star Jai Rodriguez. There were even comparisons between "Cautionary Christmas Music Tale" and fellow American Idol winner Carrie Underwood's "Sound of Music." Who was better? Who sang a better version of "My Favorite Things?"

People, get in the spirit of Christmas and enjoy all of the Christmas specials. We will only have one Christmas of 2013, enjoy it and cherish it.
