Tamar Braxton and Husband Sued by Nanny For More Than $161,000 in Unpaid Wages
Talk show host and reality TV star Tamar Braxton and her husband are being sued by a former nanny alleging she's owed more than $161,000 in unpaid back wages.
Bossip reports rumors have circulated for a while throughout the industry that the "The Real" talk show host and husband Vince Herbert were experiencing financial problems. Braxton is also alleged to be late on payments to several staffers and to "owe unpaid balances" all across Hollywood.
The website adds court documents reveal the latest allegations stem from a nanny Braxton hired to work for her during her recent "Love & War" tour. She further alleges that the couple refused to pay her on the books or draft a formal contract outlining the terms of their arrangement.
The latest charges are hardly the first such allegations the "Braxton Family Values" star has faced. Back in 2014, RadarOnline reported the couple owed more than $3 million in federal taxes and had been hit with a tax lien.
According to Radar, court document showed the two owe as much as $3,325,107.70 in debt to the government. For the tax period ending in 2010, they allegedly failed to pay more than $66,000 in taxes and the next year Herbert completely ignored a $2,267,845.97 tax bill.
Just last month, Reality Tea reported Braxton was rushed to the hospital after suffering anxiety attacks related to all their mounting debt and the danger they now face of "losing everything."
The two star on the reality show "Tamar & Vince" together and Braxton was previously nominated for a Grammy for her music. In fact, Reality Tea adds the only reason Braxton hasn't released any new music lately is because "she owes several L.A. studios and producers money" and has "worn out her welcome."
The couple is also reported to be in danger of having all their leased vehicles repossessed and have sold many of the furnishings that once decorated their home.
