"Destiny's" second expansion, titled House of Wolves, is coming May 19, publisher Activision announced Monday, Polygon reports.

"Destiny" last released an expansion, titled The Dark Below, on Dec. 9. The second expansion release follows the previous announcement from Activision targeting a second quarter release.

"Destiny" was released Sept. 9 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. The Expansion Pass was offered for $34.99 and it includes both expansions. Purchased separately they are $19.99 each.

Developer Bungie hopes House of Wolves will fix some of the mistakes from The Dark Below. Bungie does not want to invalidate hard-earned raid gear with items that can be purchased from vendors. They also do not want players to have to be forced to re-upgrade exotic weapons.

Bungie wants the expansion to be an easier way for players to get to the fun parts of their arsenals faster.

House of Wolves might send players to the Reef in the Asteroid Belt, according to a leak in February. This would be a new place for Guardians to hang out in. The expansion will likely have a new storyline, a third raid, an additional strike and new maps. The "Dark Below" added a new raid as well, but it also added an additional strike and other content on the PlayStation platform only.

All the content in House of Wolves is subject to change and will not be official until Bungie makes an announcement on the expansion. The prologue video released by Destiny seems to confirm most of the leaked information that will be included in the expansion.

If the leaked information is true, the expansion will feature the new storyline, an exclusive raid, new maps and hundreds of new weapons, armor and gear.

After the release of "House of Wolves," Bungie plans to put out a "major content release" for "Destiny" later this year, according to announcements from Activision during an earnings call in February.
