While promoting her latest film, "Brotherly Love," in an interview with Access Hollywood, Keke Palmer also discussed starring in the upcoming Fox series "Scream Queens" and the return of her BET talk show, "Just Keke," NecoleBitchie reports.

Following her days as a Nickelodeon child star, Palmer cut her hair and developed an edgier look. But she recently went back to wearing longer hair extensions because of her role in "Scream Queens," she explained.

"I do miss the short hair," she confessed. "But that's one of the great things about being an actress, wherever they want you to go character wise you gotta go."

She added, "That's why I was having so much fun with my short hair because that was a time where I had just gotten off Broadway and I was like 'I get to try all the stuff I wanted to try that I didn't get to try for a certain job.'"

In addition to working on "Scream Queens," Palmer is also gearing up for the second season of "Just Keke." Palmer revealed that her talk show will return to production in May and it is something she is very excited about.

Palmer confessed that being a talk show host has been a personal dream since she was 16. For Palmer, being a talk show host is a way to relate to the younger generation.

"I felt like there was nothing on TV that I myself could relate to. It's true there were shows that I liked to watch that I could get a perspective from but there was never a perspective from my age group or really tackling what we'd be going through, know what I mean?" she explained.

"Scream Queens" is produced by Ryan Murphy and also stars Lea Michele, Emma Roberts, Abigail Breslin and Ariana Grande.

Theater Mania reports the show is about a series of murders taking place on a college campus.

It is unclear what characters each A-lister in the cast will play; however, CBS explains that Grande will have a recurring role, while Michele is set to play the star.

Other A-listers joining the cast include "True Blood's" Joe Manganiello and actress Jamie Lee Curtis.

The show is set to begin filming in the spring and will premiere sometime this fall on FOX, Theater Mania reports.
