The season finale of "Scorpion" will bring lots of mystery.

According to OnTheFix, "Postcards From the Edge," finds the group torn asunder at a time that could easily come to be regarded as their defining moment. The website confirms earlier reports that the episode finds "Walter's life put in grave danger, prompting the rest of the Scorpion gang to rush to save him."

Several media outlets have also reported the team will be forced to come together in hopes of saving Walter as his car dangerously "teeters on the side of a cliff."

All the tense moments are in keeping with the way much of the season has played out.

In Episode 21, the tension developing between team members was thick enough to cut with a knife, as Walter finally found out about agent Cabe Gallo's long-held Baghdad mission secret.

Written by executive producers Nick Santora and Nicholas Wootton and directed by Milan Cheylov, Episode 22 of Season 1 guest stars Ann Rose as Darla, Michael Wiseman as the fire chief, Eric Davis as Officer Kinkirk and Katherine Kamhi as Dr. Hill. It is set to air on CBS on Monday night, April 20.

Last week's episode also found Walter finally getting the courage to tell Paige what he truly feels for her. Spoiler TV reports the season finale also finds Walter only asking to see Paige as his life hangs in the balance.

Earlier this year, CBS execs announced "Scorpion" will be returning for a second season. Back then, the show was ranked as the third most-watched new series of the season, averaging just less than 15 million viewers.

"Scorpion" also stars Eddie Kaye Thomas as Toby Curtis, Jadyn Wong as Happy Quinn, Robert Patrick as Gabe Gallo and Ari Stidham as Sylvester Dodd.
