'Fifty Shades of Grey' Cast & News: 'New Girl' Actor Max Greenfield Jokes About Wanting to Be the '51st Shade' in Movie
Max Greenfield from the show "New Girl" has jokingly hinted that he would like to appear on the "Fifty Shades of Grey" films. Do you think he would be able to replace Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey?
Speaking to Us Weekly, Greenfield joked about wanting to join the cast of the popular franchise based on the books by E.L. James.
Although mired with recently problems and rumors, the first film has done very well in box offices around the world. Maybe the "New Girl" actor wants to get in on the action. Or, maybe he is just joking around.
"Are there any major blockbusters that I'd want to join? You know, I'm just looking to get into that 'Fifty Shades of Grey,'" he said jokingly in the interview.
"Maybe I could be the 51st Shade? I don't know, that's definitely a move I'm looking to make."
Greenfield took part as a sexy young Sandy Cohen in the "O.C." and is thinking about bringing that to "Fifty Shades."
"The heat that I gave off from a young Sandy Cohen is the kind of heat that I would bring to a 51st Shade of Grey," he said.
However, what is Dornan doing while Greenfield talks of taking over his role? He is playing soccer with Northern Irish golfer Rory McIlroy. According to the Daily Mail, the "Fifty Shades of Grey" star played a game of Circular Soccer, which has been created by his father, professor Jim Dornan.
The two played the game to promote it but ultimately Dornan lost to McIlroy. The champion golfer scored two goals to Dornan's one goal. Christian Grey would never lose a match like to a golfer, I'm sure.
Greenfield's jokes about joining the cast of the "Fifty Shades of Grey" franchise may also be related to all the news surrounding the sequel: "Fifty Shades Darker." The latest rumors suggest Cara Delevingne could be joining the cast.
