Tune in for the next episode of "Chicago Fire," where Mills will reveal the internal struggle that will lead him into making a decision that would heavily impact his future.

The show's executive producer Matt Olmstead tells TVLine's Ausiello, "He finally gets his dream job back, but as that presents itself, his mom and sister come forward and they have a chance to run a restaurant in North Carolina."

Olmstead adds, "He's really confronted with a choice, which is, 'Have I fulfilled my father's legacy to the extent that I feel comfortable? And do I want my remaining family, which I'm the protector of, to leave and go do this restaurant?'"

As Mills' resolution of his internal struggle plays out on the next episode on April 21, TV.com reports that he will try to save the life of a driver seriously injured in a car accident.

In Episode 20 of Season 3, titled "You Know Where to Find Me," Casey also "remodels a strip club on the side, but has doubts about its owner while Herman, Otis and Cruz prepare their team for the peewee hockey championship."

Meanwhile, "Chicago Fire" makes a crossover with "Chicago P.D." and "Law and Order: SVU," in the following episode airing April 28.

According to the show description on TV.com, "Sgt. Benson of New York's Special Victims Unit comes to Chicago to help with the CPD's investigation when an apartment fire is linked to a case of rape and attempted murder, a scenario that echoes an unsolved SVU case."

In Episode 21 of Season 3, titled "We Called Her Jellybean," the squad will doubt one of its own while Dawson risks her own life during a call.

"The Walking Dead" alum Dallas Roberts will play a suspected serial killer named Greg Yates in the upcoming show, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Yates is a charismatic doctor who becomes a suspect in a series of brutal rapes and murders.

Tune into NBC Tuesday night at 10 p.m. for the next episode of "Chicago Fire."
