Christina Aguilera has apparently made a home for herself in "Nashville," and the pop star will be back for another guest appearance in the ABC show's next episode, titled "The Storm Has Just Begun," which is set to air on April 22, the network revealed.

The Grammy Award-winning musician first joined the musical drama for this week's "Nobody Knows But Me" and interprets Jade St. John, a woman who once played a large role in protagonist Jeff Fordham's personal and professional lives; Fordham is played by Oliver Hudson, also known for his role as Adam Rhodes in the CBS' "Rules of Engagement."

The 34-year-old has signed on for a multi-episode arc, KDrama Stars noted. And "fans might wonder why the singer is not a series regular," the website judged.

Beyond the pop star, ABC has confirmed a number of additional guest stars for "The Storm Has Just Begun": 21-year-old actress and singer Aubrey Peeples will slip into the role of Layla; Ed Amatrudo will revive Glenn Goodman, his recurring character; Nashville native David Alford is Bucky Dawes; Broadway star Kyle Dean Massey will again interpret gay singer-songwriter Kevin Bicks; and Bostonian Nick Jandl will put on Dr. Caleb Rand's physician's coat.

In the episode, the Tennessee town's brightest stars will rally around Teddy Conrad, played by Eric Close, and his music education initiative, "Note By Note," ABC detailed. Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere) "plans her return to the spotlight, and Layla finds herself thrust into it -- alongside Jade St. John," the network added.

Meanwhile, Deacon Claybourne "receives the call he's been waiting for" - one that apparently "(contains) some life-changing news," ABC promised. And Charles Esten, who plays Claybourne on "Nashville," knows something about life-changing events: His 15-year-old daughter, Addie, was diagnosed with leukemia at age 2½, and he has been actively involved in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society ever since, Look to the Stars revealed.

"It was a dark and scary day when we found out that our Addie had leukemia," Esten said. "The first ray of light was the reassurance from our doctor that there was hope - there were medicines and procedures that could help our little girl," he added.

"The Storm Has Just Begun" airs Wednesday, April 22, at 10 p.m. Eastern time on ABC.
