CBS ‘Person of Interest’ Spoiler for Season 4 Episode 21: Rival Crime Bosses Catch Reese and Fusco in the Cross-hairs
Season 4, Episode 21 of "Person of Interest," aptly titled "Asylum," centers around two rival crime bosses, Elias (Enrico Colantoni) and Dominic (Winston Duke). But when Reese and Fusco get caught up between the two POIs, things get a little unpredictable, according to Spoilers Guide.
We can also expect to see Control (Camryn Manheim) actually going rogue in an effort to uncover the true intentions of the Samaritan. Additionally, Shaw's whereabouts might have been discovered by a tantalizing clue, which could also be leading Finch and Root into a trap.
Recently, TV Guide reported that Detective Joss Carter's (Taraji P. Hensen) returned in the last episode, titled "Terra Incognita." She was part of a hallucination sequence in which Reese (Jim Caviezel) was bleeding out from a gunshot wound.
In an interview with executive producers Jonathon Nolan and Greg Plageman, TV Guide asked if they had been looking for a way to bring Carter back to the show.
"When we talked after Carter's death on the show, we joked about how characters on this show all live forever in flashback," Nolan said. "We would have felt differently about that storyline if we felt we'd never get a chance to work with Taraji on the show again. So, we knew we were always headed here, it was just a question of making sure that we had a very special setup and payoff for why you would go back."
There also has not been a confirmed renewal yet for Season 5 from CBS, with speculation that Reese might die soon, given the circumstances of the last episode.
"Quite a few doors are slammed, but a couple of windows open too," Plageman said in regards to the last episode on May 5 being the series finale. This off course does not answer the question as to whether Reese die's, but as the show pointed out in the pilot episode, he will indeed die.
Nolan also chimed in and said they have "lots more story to tell and we're very hopeful that we will be continuing to tell it on CBS next year."
"Person of Interest" returns to CBS on April 28 for the last two episodes of the season.
