Kanye West Reportedly Served with Legal Papers As He Carried Baby Nori Outside LAX
With his young daughter in his arms and having just set foot back in the States from an Armenian trip abroad, Kanye West was slapped with legal papers just outside LAX on Thursday.
Gossip Cop reports West and wife Kim Kardashian had just returned from a three-country trip, which also included stops in Israel and France, and he had just entered his car after running through the airport in an effort to avoid paparazzi.
The nature of the legal documents remain unknown. But the website adds as soon as Kardashian made her way to the vehicle, someone threw the papers back out and the couple immediately drove away. During the incident, Gossip Cop reports the driver and the process server exchanged "some tense words."
The incident highlights a mixed-bag sort of week for West, who earlier was named one of Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People in the World.
The 37-year-old West was feted on one of the issue's five covers along with the likes of ballet dancer Misty Copeland, Univision anchor Jorge Ramos, actor Bradley Cooper and Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. The distinction marked the third time (2005 and 2011) Time has awarded him with such distinction in the last decade.
West's reality TV wife also made the cut this year among the top 100, along with President Barack Obama, presidential candidate and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and North Korean dictator Kim Johg Un.
A multi-Grammy Award winner who has sold millions of albums worldwide, West is known for such hits as "Swagga Like Us," "Jesus Walks," "All Falls Down," "Run This Town" and "Gold Digger."
West has often also been an outspoken critic of all things he considers to be off-kilter. During a live TV show, West once charged, "George Bush doesn't care about black people," based on his slow response to Hurricane Katrina in 2010.
