Zachary Levi, Missy Peregrym Relationship & Breakup News 2015: Couple Splits After Less Than a Year of Marriage
Zachary Levi and Missy Peregrym split after being married for less than a year, TMZ reports.
The couple secretly wed back in June and is now headed for a secret divorce. According to reports, Peregrym filed for divorce last week in Los Angeles.
Neither of them wants spousal support and there is no community property to fight over.
The "Rookie Blue" actress notes that they separated just about six months after being married. Meanwhile, the "Chuck" star revealed how challenging marriage can be in a recent interview.
The couple secretly tied the knot in Maui, Hawaii, and revealed the great news to fans via social media, Us Weekly reports.
To celebrate the new life, they posted a selfie wearing hoodies that said "Mr." for him and "Mrs." for her.
"He's said she's the one," an insider told Us Weekly at the time. "[Maui] has meaning for them."
Levi and 32-year-old Peregrym kept quiet about the divorce just as they kept quiet about the marriage.
According to Us Weekly, just around the time they split, Peregrym posted tweets that may have referred to her situation. But she let fans know that she only posted thought-provoking messages that had nothing to do with her marriage.
In one tweet the star said, "Who am I to live like God is unable to heal my wounds, redeem my circumstances and love me enough? Normal? I choose to receive; I accept."
In another tweet she quoted Maya Angelou: "Have enough courage to trust love one more time and always one more time."
The couple was all smiles when they revealed their secret marriage on June 16, 2014, People noted.
"That coffee date was UNREAL @zacharylevi #marriedinmaui," Peregrym Tweeted.
Levi retweeted the post and wrote: "These dreams and goals are really workin out."
It is still unclear why they are getting divorced.
