Champions League 2014-15 Quarterfinals: Bayern Munich vs. Porto; Barcelona vs. PSG - What Will Happen in the Second Leg?
The Champions League returns on Tuesday with the second leg of the quarterfinals.
Bayern Munich will look to get a 2-0 win against a Porto side that shocked the world with a 2-0 lead in the opening 10 minutes of the first leg. The Portuguese side knew exactly how to shut down the opposition by pressuring from the front and it led to three goals against one team considered amongst the best in the world.
For Bayern, the lone goal from Thiago Alcantara was huge. All the team would need is a 2-0 win to get through; the away goal would be the difference to get Bayern through.
The German side was eliminated a year ago in the semifinals and is looking to go to its fourth straight semi-final. Of course, it will have to find some heroes as injuries to Arjen Robben, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Franck Ribery. Robben in particular has been the team's top player all season long.
In the other game of the day, Paris Saint-Germain will look to overcome a 3-1 deficit in Barcelona. PSG needs a 3-0 win or a win by three goals to move on to the semifinals. The problem is that Barca has not conceded three goals at home all season and has not lost by more than two goals all year.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who was not in the first leg due to a suspension from the Round of 16, will be back and he will need a big game if his team plans to stick around in the competition.
Luis Suarez scored two goals in the first leg, both included nutmegs of defender David Luiz.
Predictions
Barcelona wins 2-0 while Bayern gets a thunderous 4-0 win at home to quiet the critics.
Where to Watch
Both games can be streamed on Fox Soccer 2Go.
