'Jurassic World' Trailer & Spoilers: What Did We Learn From New Trailer?
Following the unveiling of trailers for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," "Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Fantastic Four," Universal Pictures has released its most recent promo for the hotly anticipated "Jurassic World."
There have already been a number of trailers showcasing the film, but this one has presented a number of interesting perspectives. It starts with Chris Pratt's Owen Grady training Velociraptors and talking about building a relationship with them. This seems to play an important role later in the trailer when he is on the hunt for a human-made dinosaur that is in the wild and out of control. But when the dinosaurs turn on the humans, it seems that this relationship between Grady and his trained raptors could be tested. It is certainly an interesting twist on the antagonistic relationship between the raptors and humans from the original film.
The other interesting aspect of the trailer is that we are slowly getting a look at the big monster that apparently has intelligence to communicate with other dinosaurs and also record memories of sophisticated human behavior. The trailer provided a few salient shots of the creature, but refused to focus on it for more than a split second, thus leaving the viewer with little overall. Moreover, there is mention of the creature eating its own sibling and being larger than a T-Rex.
It looks like this film, set in a full-fledged theme park, will be larger in scale than any other prior film in the franchise.
The reboot to the hit franchise is directed by Colin Trevorrow and stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Vincent D'Onofrio, Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson, Omar Sy, Irrfan Khan, Jake Johnson, B.D. Wong and Brian Tee, among others. Michael Giacchino will score the film, which is slated for a June 2 release date in cinemas.
