Teresa Giudice News: Reality Star Reportedly Receiving Special Treatment, Acting Like a 'Diva' Behind Bars
A female inmate, recently released from the same Danbury Correctional facility where "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice is serving her 15-months on fraud charges, claims the reality show star "is a diva" using her name to get what she wants while incarcerated.
According to RadarOnline, the woman served time alongside the Bravo Network star and claims, "Just the way she got her job, that's definitely diva treatment."
The 42-year-old Giudice reportedly is only required to wipe down tables about three times a week during shifts that max out at around 20 minutes.
"She had that job before she came in, and that's hard to get," the source added. "Why should she get that when people are outside shoveling snow?"
Reports are Giudice also gets preferential treatment when it comes to all-important matters like commissary time.
"She comes in very late and if the short line is closed her friend will go and get her the tray," the source added. "You're not allowed to do that, but for Teresa you're allowed to do it."
Radar also reports Giudice is afforded added privileges when it comes to things like interacting with her four young daughters during visits and the way her laundry is handled.
"She brought a craft out from the visiting room and I thought one woman was going to lose it," the source said of the way Giudice was able to keep a memento made for her by her children while everyone else is forced to discard such items.
"Other women will go in there, their kids will make them something and then they'll take it away from them," the source added. "The guards let her do that."
Supposedly, more often than not, Giudice's laundry is also crisply folded once she receives it back. The source added one of the few times it wasn't, Giudice "stood in line and said 'I got my laundry back and it wasn't folded today.' She was all p***ed off about it."
With good behavior, Giudice could be released in several months. According to Us Weekly, as soon as she is released, her husband Joe will be required to begin serving the near four years he was sentenced to on similar charges.
