Series creator Simon Cowell has confirmed that following the grand finals of "X Factor USA" Season 3 tonight at 8:00 PM, the "Heart Attack" singer-slash-judge will not be returning for the fourth season of the hit Fox series.

According to People.com and MTV.com, the singer will be focusing on her music career and the young star looks forward to taking a short break. Sources say that Demi is focusing on her music, which is her main thing, and may even do some movies once in a while.

The 20-year-old has been a judge on the reality show for the past 2 seasons, and has revealed she will be dedicating 2014 to her music. Demi was quoted as saying, "I started the show being a singer and a musician, and so I'm going to go back to that...It's been really great, but I'm so excited for 2014. I'm going to dedicate it completely and entirely to music - touring and making a new album...possibly releasing one."

Lovato has also been a regular recurring character on Fox's "Glee" and will be starting her Neon Lights Tour for her newest album "Demi". Aside from this, she has been working on a memoire following her book release "Staying Strong: 365 Days a Year."

Demi Lovato has brought a certain flair to the series and her pleasant personality has brightened up the show immensely. Here are the Top 5 Memorable Moments of Ms. Lovato on "X Factor":

1.   Britney Spears Spitting on Demi - During the auditions in Greensboro, N.C, it was quite stormy and the judges were startled by thunder resulting in an especially terrified Britney accidentally spitting on Demi. "I spit all over you, I'm sorry," said Britney.

2.   Flirting with Emblem 3 - Even the seasoned judge was not immune to swooning over Emblem 3's audition and when noticed by Simon, he shut her down from further batting her eyelashes.

3.   Fatherly Simon telling Demi to stay away from One Direction's Niall Horan - While backstage, Demi mentioned to Simon, "By the way, Niall says hi." And Niall being one of Simon's protégés discovered on "The X Factor UK", Cowell warned Demi, "Keep away from him. He's pure!"

4.   Performance with Fifth Harmony - Demi Lovato collaborated with Fifth Harmony to sing "Give Your Heart a Break" and strutted off stage to sing in Simon's face.

5.   Spitting Mints into Simon's Hand - When Demi asked Simon for a mint, he suggested she take 12 instead and Demi did so to. When giving a critique she regurgitated it back into his hand before speaking.

As for the show, Cowell, who is the show's executive producer and also a judge, announced that aside from being renewed for a fourth season, there would be major changes underway that includes Cowell taking on a "different kind of role."
