Chris Brown Daughter Update 2015: Singer Fighting to Have His Name Stamped on Daughter's Birth Certificate
Chris Brown is fighting to have his name legally stamped as the father on his 9-month-old daughter's birth certificate.
TMZ reports Brazil Riesling, the boyfriend of baby Royalty's mother, Nia Guzman, is listed as the father on the documents. The 25-year-old "Loyal" singer only learned of his paternity last month and since then has been feverishly attempting to forge a relationship with her.
According to Gossip Cop, known as King Ba, Riesling hasn't made it easy for Brown, who has now hired a lawyer in hopes of reaching some sort of agreement with the couple.
TMZ also previously reported Brown has been trying to convince the 31-year-old Guzman to move out to Los Angeles so he can see his daughter more.
"Chris is in negotiations with Nia over support," a source said.
"He's paying her more than he's required to under the law, but he got pissed off when she started talking about their relationship and vowed to go to court where a judge would reduce the child support he's informally paying."
The source later added Brown has told Guzman not only will he not move to have support payments reduced if she moves the child out West; he will also foot the bill for a place for them to live.
When Brown isn't spending time with his daughter and trying to get to know her better, he still seems to have his mind on ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran. The two split after word of Brown being a father became public, but recently HollywoodLife reported Brown might be leaning toward giving her a diamond engagement ring for her 27th birthday on May 17.
"Chris doesn't want to lose this girl," the source said.
"She's by far the most impressive woman he's had a relationship with in his entire life. He's been watching, and re-watching her interview and one thing keeps on sticking out to him: her wiggling her ring finger and saying she'd marry him."
