As previously reported, The X Factor finale featured a joke on judge Demi Lovato that she didn't find funny at all. Today we have found out that the show's "annoying juice" prank really did upset Lovato and that she is demanding an apology.

The joke, which poked fun at Demi for drinking a questionable green juice during the show, was pretty insensitive. Considering that the "Skyscraper" singer is a recovering alcoholic, the "annoying juice" insinuated that Demi might have been drinking alcohol again. At least this is what Demi is claiming. What Demi said to the judge beside her during the clip has been revealed, "That's so f*cked up," the star said, truly upset. Demi's face said it all; she was outraged and a source very close to Demi confirmed it to Hollyscoop. "She is very upset about this. She has spoken to producers as well as Simon because this was unusually cruel. Demi is outspoken about her addiction issues and this was way out of line," said the source.

Lovato is so mad at The X Factor that she is even claiming that they purposely played this joke on her out of spite since she has decided to leave the show. "[Demi] is not happy and feels that [The X Factor] owes her a public apology" added the source. The "Neon Lights" star has always spoke highly of her time at The X Factor, and even called her coworkers and staff her family. It is very sad that they didn't think this joke through (hoping that it isn't true that this was done on purpose). Even though Lovato has come really far in her recovery, she is still at a very sensitive state of mind. Something like this can easily make her feel, as she is been ridiculed and worst than that, on national television.

Should The X Factor apologize to Demi Lovato?
