Someone close to the "NCIS: New Orleans" crew becomes a victim of "Baitfish" in the upcoming Episode 22, which will air on May 5 and will spark the team to action.

According to On The Fix, "How Much Pain Can You Take," is also highlighted by a "string of murders, including someone close to the team." The website adds in an effort to send a message to Pride, Baitfish carries out the dastardly deed of murdering someone close and dear to a crew member, prompting a citywide manhunt for the heartless assailant.

Overall, On The Fix touts the upcoming episode as focusing on "some very interesting and intense stuff." The episode was written by Christopher Silber and Christopher Ambrose and directed by Terrence O'Hara. It guest stars Dylan Walsh as Captain Jim Messier of the Jefferson Parish Police Department.

A spin-off of the long running and wildly popular "NCIS," the show is set in the Crescent City and chronicles the life and times of the New Orleans branch of the Naval Criminal Investigative Services team.

The series stars Scott Bakula as Special Agent Dwayne Cassius "King" Pride, Lucas Black as Special Agent Christopher LaSalle, Zoe McLellan as Special Agent Meredith "Merri" Brody, C.C.H. Pounder as Dr. Loretta Wade, and Rob Kerkovich as Sebastian Lund.

In a recent episode, "The Insider," Dr. Wade's resolve and courage were tested when she stared down the barrel of a gun pulled on her by a man desperate to gain possession of the body of a naval officer she was entrusted with performing an autopsy on.

After cutting open the dead man's stomach and removing a flash drive from his intestines, the man shot Danny after he tried to tackle him, forcing Sebastian to save his life by drawing the overflowing blood from his chest.
