'Revenge' Season 4 Finale Spoilers: Fans Will Get Closure, But There Will Be a 'Tiny Little Cliffhanger'
As it turns out “Revenge” may be a dish best served canceled.
Entertainment Weekly has reported that the upcoming Season 4 finale will be the end of the entire series.
Sunil Nayar, the executive producer of the Emily VanCamp-starring nighttime soap, has announced that: “We can officially tell our fans that this will be the end of the story.”
“We’ve been talking to the network and we all just wanted to make sure that we felt very confident,” he explained, adding that: “Now that everybody has seen the finale -- which is fabulous -- everybody understands that as much as we all adore the show, it has hit exactly the mark it needed to to end."
Before we say goodbye to all the the plotting and deadly mischief, there is still the upcoming Episode 22 of fourth season of the show titled "Plea," which, according to The International Business Times, will most likely focus on Emily Thorne/Amanda Clarke (Emily VanCamp), Jack Porter (Nick Wechsler) and Ben Hunter's (Brian Hallisay) convoluted relationship.
Talking about ABC's feeling about the end of such a popular and beloved program, Nayar says: “I can see why all the arguments from even an economic standpoint to maybe keep it going, but at the end of the day -- kind of like they had with 'Lost' -- they support creativity above all. They really got the sense with us as their partners that we all came up with a great way to end these stories.”
However the thrilling drama wraps up, Nayar promises closure for “Revenge” fans, as well as “a tiny little cliffhanger.”
Episode 22 of the fourth and last season of "Revenge" airs May 3, at 10 p.m. ET on ABC. The final episode airs on May 10.
