Britney Spears has been having a banner year. Her new album, Britney Jean, debuted in the #4 spot on the Billboard 200, she started dating a new beau David Lucado, and announced her next big career move live on Good Morning America, a Las Vegas residency with a blowout performance in the desert that could be seen from space.

What can Britney look forward to in 2014? Well, it appears that no new music is in the pipeline. The Las Vegas show titled Britney: Piece of Me begins later this month at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino and is a two year commitment. The show is going to focus on Britney's new music rather than reliving the days of "Hit Me, Baby, One More Time" and "Toxic."

The residency is a good move for Spears, whose life over the past nine years has been anything but stable. Since marrying childhood best friend Jason Alexander on a drunken whim in Vegas, she has undergone a mental breakdown courtesy of bipolar disorder, divorced twice and been a tabloid staple. The structure this Vegas show provides is a great thing for the mom of two and will definitely pad her bank account to the tune of $15 million per year. It's also Britney's first new show in nearly two years.

Professional life aside, things look good for Britney and her boyfriend. David Lucado hails from the south, like Britney, and was raised in Virginia. He is a normal, down-home type of guy. Lucado isn't dating her because she's rich and famous, but rather because he genuinely likes her a whole lot. Lucado works as a lawyer and only recently moved to California to be with the singer on a regular basis. The pair's strong relationship was recently chronicled in I Am Britney Jean, a documentary that premiered on E! last Sunday. Part of the documentary featured Britney, David and her family during Thanksgiving dinner. Everyone seemed happy and relaxed. But Britney's life is about to get a whole lot more hectic.

"This is a big year for me, it's the first show I've done in two years ... I am trying to let myself relax a little bit but not too much because I know that I have a lot ahead of me," Spears sighed, while letting on to the fact that she had "hardly seen Lucado in weeks."
