Prince Royce, Latino Pop Star and Former Sprint Salesman, Rehired for Hispanic Outreach & Music
Sprint rehired Prince Royce to help with developing unique music-related initiatives and programs in the company's new Hispanic Business Unit.
According to PR Newswire, the award-winning artist worked as a Sprint employee in New York in the beginning of his music career. He used the money he made at the mobile store to record the demo that helped kick-start his successful music career.
"Sprint has been a part of my journey from the beginning and I feel honored to be reunited with a brand I believe in, and that also believes in me," Royce said.
"Together with Marcelo Claure and his Sprint team, I look forward to hearing from and connecting more closely with fans and customers across the country."
The "My Angel" singer attended a Sprint store event in Miami on Thursday as part of his 2015 Premios Billboard trip to Miami where he was able to meet with fans, community members and Sprint customers.
"Royce will present Sprint's $10,000 donation to ASPIRA of Florida -- a nonprofit Hispanic organization dedicated to developing the Hispanic youth's educational and leadership capacity -- to help further its overall reach," CEO of Spring Marcelo Claure said.
The "Corazon Sin Cara" singer will be a special guest on Ariana Grande's Honeymoon Tour in July and is set to release his first English-language album this summer.
"When fans look at Prince Royce, they see a relatable, hard-working guy with an incredible success story and a voice that speaks directly to them -- the ideal person to tap to collaborate with Sprint," Claure said.
The Latino artist recently released his English-language single "Back it Up" with Pitbull, according to Direct Lyrics. His debut English single was "Stuck on a Feeling" with Snoop Dogg. "Back it Up" is a catchy upbeat Latin-Caribbean-Urban song perfect for the summer.
Prince Royce has received more than 150 nominations for awards and has won 66 awards in total for his contributions in the Latin music industry.
