Improvements and patches could be on the way for the Call of Duty: Ghosts video game.

Inifinity Ward developer "teanah" announced that the changes would pertain to sniper rifles and weapons after concerns about an imbalance of weapons in the game. This change does not come as much surprise considering how the game underwent controversial changes earlier this month when the MSBS Assault Rifle was toned down to the point where some have complained about its diminished effectiveness.

Last week Call of Duty: Ghosts also featured a "free festive personalization pack" for the holiday season.

While the Call of Duty game remains a top option for many gamers across the world, its Battlefield 4 counterpart has struggled mightily as of late. Not only has it faltered in sales compared to the much more successful Call of Duty game, people are also complaining that the PS3 version of a new China rising DLC patch is not going to be bumped up to the PS4.

Those who are looking to get their hands on a copy of the exciting games can do so at a number of store locations and it should be much easier to find than the elusive Xbox One and PS4 game consoles that have been selling at an incredibly fast pace.

Best Buy is still offering the Call of Duty and Battlefield games for both the next gen consoles as well as the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. At a number of locations, buyers can buy special bundles that include Call of Duty in the package for a slight discount.

All things considered, more shoppers will have their eyes on Call of Duty: Ghosts when they get in the store on Christmas Eve. After all, it received great reviews.

"Like a good sequel should, Call of Duty: Ghosts doesn't ignore the formula of fast, fluid gameplay that has made the series famous, but introduces a unique new premise, unprecedented player personalization," IGN's Scott Lowe said.

Call of Duty:Ghosts, along with Battlefield 4 to some degree, will be one of the most popular games heading into the new year.
