‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ Season 2 Episode 22 Spoilers: Peralta Works a Dream Case, The Precinct Hosts a School Field Trip
The May 10 episode of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," titled "The Chopper," airs at 8:30 p.m. It centers around Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) getting an unexpected opportunity from one of his superiors.
According to Spoilers Guide, Madeline Wuntch (guest star Kyra Sedgwick), assigns Jake a case that throws him into a spiral of excitement. For Jake, it is a dream case and he has a hard time seeing past the alternate agenda. But Holt (Andre Braugher) doesn't. He immediately assumes that Wuntch is setting Jake up to fail and his suspicions are warranted.
But the precinct inserts the comedy as well when they host a special field trip, straight from a local magnet school. Amy (Melissa Fumero), Rosa (Stephanie Beatriz) and Gina (Chelsea Peretti) will take the lead on this and fans can expect a heavy dose of comical return.
What has been uniquely weighing on fans of this show is the Jake and Amy storyline. According to Hidden Remote, the end of season one left of fans on a light cliffhanger as to whether or not Jake and Amy may get together, considering Jake had confessed his feelings toward her.
But Season 2 has led fans to different spirals of where that relationship may or may not lead. Both Jake and Amy engaged in serious relationships through the season. Jake had become comically jealous when Amy started dating Teddy. Amy also revealed she once liked Jake, which led to she and Teddy breaking up.
In the last episode, Jake and Amy team up with one of their idols, Detective Majors. But Jake rethinks his excitement over working with him when Majors reveals that he is going to ask Amy out.
After it was all said and done, she had turned Majors down and the end of the episode led viewers to believe she had feelings for Jake, which she did not reveal to him and ultimately gave him the impression that she was no longer going to date any cops.
In an interview with Details, Melissa Fumero revealed she was essentially a theater nerd. But she made quite the transition from nerd to sex symbol. Details wanted to know how that made her feel.
"I don't know that I see myself as that in everyday life," Fumero told Details. "Taking photos for me is really hard. In the last few years, I've had to snap into an alter ego. A woman who's much more confident. If I think about what I look like, I get super-nervous and freaked-out. When I'm not taking photos, I'm pretty confident in myself and what I look like."
