The CW is really heating up the action on this pre-apocalyptic series, which now features all of the angels united for one cause: saving the world.

In Episode 4, "Drums of War" and airs on Thursday May 8 at 9 p.m., the angels have a new situation that must be dealt with right away, according to KSITE TV. The Horseman of War is preparing to take to the political stage and make an address at an international energy summit that could lead to devastating consequences.

But the angels are poised for an alternate agenda that does not necessarily stop him from making the speech, but rather stop him from killing a target at the summit. The problem is they do not know who the target is, nor do they know who the Horseman is. That means revealing their mysterious identities will prove to be almost as challenging as the task of stopping the tragedy.

In other events, The Man is making sure that one of the angels, who is in jail, stays in jail for his plans to unfold. The Man is determined and will use all his means to make sure he stays jailed.

Series star Shantel VanSanten, who plays Vera Buckley on the show, has recently had some time to reflect on the roles she plays in Hollywood and her life as a farm girl from Minnesota. She told Maxim, as reported by The Huffington Post, that she was actually a nerd growing up and was president of the glee club and the yearbook staff.

"Growing up as a young girl on a farm in Minnesota, it's just not something you have. I don't even know if you could get cable there," VanSanten told Maxim in regards to not even having a TV.

"The other night I had a big dinner with friends and everyone talked about their favorite movie, and I just started to laugh because I haven't even seen 'The Godfather' or any of the epic, classic movies that everyone is talking about."
