In May, gamers will welcome back a couple of favorite video games from 2014: action-adventure first-person shooter video game "Wolfenstein: The Old Blood" and open world action-adventure game Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.

There's also a new motorsports video game, Project CARS, from British developer Slightly Mad Studios that is a must-play.

Wolfenstein: The Old Blood

In new prequel "Wolfenstein: The Old Blood," the storyline rewinds to 1946 where a young B.J. Blazkowicz must infiltrate Bavaria to uncover the secrets of the Nazi Paranormal Division before Hitler can use ancient magic and zombies to win the war.

The game is a "standalone prequel" to 2014's spectacular "Wolfenstein: The New Order."

Best of all, it has a download-only price of $20.

The game was released to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on May 5.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor Game of the Year Edition

Monolith's "Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor" finally received the Game of the Year Edition it deserves in which undead ranger Talion continues his quest for vengeance.

The game's refined gameplay and state-of-the-art Nemesis system enable your adversary to dynamically develop in response to your actions.

The edition comes chocked full with additional content added since the game's initial release, such as new skins for Talion, runes to beef up your arsenal, hunts and more.

There is also a new campaign where the player takes on the role of Talion's phantom, elven inhabitant, deep in Middle-earth's past.

The game was released to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on May 5.

Project CARS

CARS is an acronym for Community Assisted Racing Simulator. British developer Slightly Mad Studios developed this realistic racing game that includes more than 67 drivable cars, 30 locations and 110 race tracks for a variety of motorsports and gameplay.

"Project CARS" is being released to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 7 in the U.K. and May 12 in North America.
