Ultrabooks are super thin and powerful laptops that pack some of the fastest processors and best features in a portable computer. The Lenovo Yoga 3 and Asus Zenbook UX305 are two recent ultrabooks that will give buyers an ultra-portable laptop experience.

The Asus Zenbook UX305 was released earlier this year. Asus says that it is the thinnest laptop on the market, according to Tech Times. That claim might not last very long as newer laptops are always being released. At 0.48 inches thick and only weighing 2.7 pounds, the Zenbook definitely fits into the ultra-portable category.

The Lenovo Yoga 3 is nearly as thin as the Zenbook, measuring in at 0.6 inches thick. The Yoga 3 is just a tad lighter at 2.6 pounds, but it also only has an 11-inch screen compared to the Zenbook's 13.3 inch screen.

The Zenbook is a truly fanless ultrabook meaning it is extremely quiet to operate. It also comes with a 256 GB solid state drive that ASUS calls a "superb" performer. The battery will give most users about 10 hours of life.

The Yoga 3 is not fanless, but it does offer the same 256 GB solid state drive. A unique feature for the Yoga 3 is the 360-degree hinge. This allows the screen to be folded in any angle that the user wishes, including flat. The Yoga 3 can get slightly noisy and its battery life is short at only about six hours, according to Digital Trends.

The Zenbook manages to pack in a full-sized keyboard, a nice-sized trackpad and a 13.3-inch display into a laptop that only weighs 2.7 pounds. This is an incredible use of space and weight. Additionally, the Zenbook does not skimp on ports, offering three USB 3.0 ports.

The Yoga 3 only offers two USB ports, one USB 2.0 and one USB 3.0. Also included is a 4-in-1 card reader and a micro-HDMI port.

The Zenbook's price is excellent for all the features it packs into itself. At just $849, the Zenbook offers an excellent ultrabook at an affordable price. The Yoga 3 is not as cheap and comes with less features. At $949, the Yoga 3 is expensive and does not offer the same experience as the Zenbook.
