After losing her position as State's Attorney and her own law firm, fans will get a taste of what's in store in the next chapter in Alicia Florrick's life in the Season finale of "The Good Wife."

Not only was Alicia forced to step down as State's Attorney due to an election scandal, but she also lost her spot at the law firm that she helped create and said goodbye to her old friend, Kalinda.

During the Season 6 finale, which is titled "Wanna Partner," Archie Panjabi will reprise her role as Kalinda and share an epic scene with Alicia. According to TVLine, this will mark the first time that the private investigator and Alicia have appeared in the same scene in two years, following their fallout after Alicia found out that Kalinda had slept with her husband, Peter.

Showrunners Robert and Michelle King dropped spoilers about the highly anticipated scene between Alicia and Kalinda, following Panjabi's hasty departure.

"It's not wrong to be disappointed by the abruptness of Kalinda leaving in Episode 20 because we knew we had these two little encores. And again, it's playing with form -- so people are thrown a little bit by the moves. And by the way, this was instinctual. We didn't really have a plan. At one point we were thinking, 'wouldn't it be fun if we ended Kalinda's story much earlier than everyone [expected]?' But then stories came out of that, and this is the one that felt like it would be the most satisfying in the long run to fans, said Robert, to TVLine.

Robert also teased that fans will learn what Kalinda wrote in her goodbye letter to Alicia, and "Alicia and Kalinda think of each other now that they've all been humbled by the experience of the last six years. They had a breakup, essentially, at the end of Season 2. What they feel about all that has happened, I would say. We have Wallace Shawn for this last episode, as Bishop's fixer-lawyer Charles Lester. There will be issues he raises that only Kalinda can answer. Is Kalinda's life in danger? Questions like that are in the mix," he said.

During an interview with Yahoo! TV, Robert confirmed that Kalinda's return "has to do with Charles Lester [played by Wallace Shawn]. It's, unfortunately, complications that have come out of Kalinda leaving. What we kind of wanted to do was play this kind of as if it were an encore. We thought people would think that was very abrupt two episodes [ago] when Archie left the scene, and wouldn't be prepared for it, and we wanted to have a little surprise, but also a little emotional jiggle, and then have her come back in these last two [episodes]."

In addition to the highly anticipated reunion between the former best friends, series star Matt Czuchry teased that fans can expect Season 6 to end with a twist that will bring about lead to changes in Season 7.

"I guess in terms of the cliffhanger in the sense that certainly it's setting up storylines for season seven, said Czuchry, who plays Cary Agos. "There are new ones that come in to set up season seven-if we come back for that," he told E! News.

The finale will also reveal whether Finn accepts the offer to join Alicia and the mysterious person that Alicia will encounter when she opens her door.

"We were playing with the idea that Alicia has this affection for bad boys, and Finn is one of the few people in her life who actually has been fairly upstanding throughout and does not have the kind of killer's vision of wanting to turn everything to his advantage -- he's actually a pretty good guy -- and that Alicia found herself drawn to someone a little bit more like Elfman, the Steven Pasquale character, who is a bit more of a killer strategically, a little like Will in that way. I think that's one of the reasons you're finding Alicia now moving past that and finding whether she's lost her chance with Finn or not," said Robert.

Season 6, Episode 22 of "The Good Wife," "Wanna Partner," will air on Sunday, May 10, at 9 p.m. on CBS.
