Samsung has reportedly been working hard to come up with a state-of-the-art successor to the premium Galaxy Tab S duo. According to the rumor mill, the upcoming tablet will be available in two sizes: the 8-inch and the 9-inch.

Although multiple news sources reported the tablet will be unveiled in June, a supposed leaked image of the device is presently making the rounds on social media.

Taking a good look at the photo leaked on Twitter by OnLeaks, it seems as though the Galaxy Tab S2 will somehow feature a similar vibe with that of the recently released Galaxy S6. Avid users of Samsung gadgets will not be surprised by this since the Galaxy Tab S launched last year also featured a similar look with the Galaxy S5.

Android Central pointed out that the upcoming tab's design also has similarities with the Galaxy Tab A, especially with the metal frame that runs around its sides. This metal design gives the unit its luxurious appeal.

Furthermore, the leaked image showcases a slate with a cellular network connectivity. Slots for a microSD card and a SIM card are placed next to one another. It has a home button, which can also reportedly be used as a fingerprint sensor. The device's power and volume buttons can be found on the unit's right-hand portion.

If the rumor mill is to be believed, then the Galaxy Tab S2 just might be thinner than its rival device -- the iPad Air 2. The bigger variant will reportedly measure 237.1 x 168.8 x 5.4 millimeters, while the smaller one will measure 237.17 x 169.58 x 5.4 millimeters.

Rumors also indicate that the tablet will be launched with a 9.7-inch display with 2,048 x 1,536 pixels, which is pretty much the resolution available with the Nexus 9 and iPad units. It will also reportedly sport 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of built-in storage, a two-megapixel front camera and an eight-megapixel camera for its rear. According to GSM Arena, its chipset will be an Exynos solution paired with an Octa-Core CPU with a maximum clock speed of 1.9 GHz.

A separate article from GSM Arena pointed out that both versions of the upcoming tablet are expected to come in Wi-Fi-only variants. This means that when the device model is launched, four units could be introduced to the market.
